Barbaro Luc

I am associate researcher at INRA - INP Toulouse (UMR Dynafor) and CoMaC group, MNHN Paris (UMR Cesco). I am a conservation ecologist and biogeographer studying bird, bat and insect communities in mosaic forest landscapes. I am especially interested in linking bird and bat conservation to the ecosystem services they provide to forest and agro-ecosystems by regulating insect herbivory. I favour community- and trait-based approaches to study the effects of habitat and landscape changes on bird and bat communities. I currently supervise Alexis Laforge’s PhD, who studies the effects of landscape fragmentation by roads on bat communities using large-scale passive acoustic monitoring.
